Dear Friend of the NYC Carriage Horses,
The weekend of March 31st and April 1st is going to be a celebration of the world’s most famous working horses, the iconic New York City carriage horses. This fun-filled and informative weekend, featuring stable tours, carriage rides and media coverage, will draw dozens of equestrians and carriage horse supporters from around the country to New York in the inaugural ClipClopNYC event, hosted by the Horse and Carriage Association of New York City.
The highlight of the weekend will be a GALA BENEFIT for Blue Star Equiculture Draft Horse Sanctuary and Organic Farm in Palmer, Massachusetts.
Blue Star Equiculture is the official retirement venue for the HCANYC carriage horses. Founded in 2009, Blue Star is a 501c3 non-profit organization specializing in draft horse rescue, retirement and rehabilitation, organic farming, equine and environmental education and horse-drawn history tours. Blue Star Equiculture provides sanctuary homes for retired working horses and shelters up to 30 homeless horses at any given time. Blue Star also engages in outreach to help horses, humans and Mother Earth.
The GALA BENEFIT for Blue Star will be a three-hour cocktail party in the famed Emery Roth Room of the Ritz Carlton on Central Park South. Music, slideshows, and guest speakers will round out what we hope to be a very successful and enjoyable evening. Your support can make it happen!
The Ritz Carlton has demonstrated tremendous generosity by donating this space for our event, and offering us deep reductions on a package that includes unlimited beer and wine and butlered hors d’oeuvres for the entire evening.
In order to help every possible dollar of each exclusive $100 ticket go directly to Blue Star Equiculture, we are seeking for sponsorships for the GALA BENEFIT.
If you want to support urban and rural working horses and preserve the horse-human bond, please join with the Horse and Carriage Association of New York City, Teamsters Local 553 and the Ritz Carlton New York in supporting Blue Star Equiculture’s mission by sponsoring this Gala Benefit.
Sponsors will receive recognition in a commemorative program for the entire ClipClopNYC weekend. Headlining sponsors will be included in all media releases about the Gala Benefit for Blue Star Equiculture.
Thank you for supporting working horses here in New York City, and thank you for supporting our friends at Blue Star Equiculture. Together, we can continue to ensure that every carriage horse in New York City gets the retirement they deserve.
